The service is located at the DLR premises in Berlin, Germany Your Tasks Include The post holder will be assigned to the AIT and verification related activities of the GALA instrument. The GALA instrument GAnymede Laser Altimeter is a laser altimeter instrument for the JUICE mission, studying the tidal deformation of Ganymede and the morphology and topography of the surfaces of the icy moons of Jupiter. Actual tasks include Performing tests on Engineering Model of the GALA DPM incl. data analysis and documentation Electronics Design update for the PFM digital electronics Support to procurement of DPM hardware Incoming tests of modules of the GALA Electronic Unit DPM, PCM, RFM Commissioning and tests of the GALA ELU EM and PFM Support for software tests of the GALA and ELU and the complete instrument Compiling test specifications, test procedures and test reports for electrical and EMC tests with GALA hardware Supervision of electrical and EMC tests in coordination with the engineering team of DLR and ESA Compile all relevant documentation for the above mentioned tasks Your Profile Applicants should have Masters degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or Physics Four years of professional experience, including in functional AITAIV of spacecrafts are mandatory The working language is German. Fluency in this language is required. Tasks and Responsibilities Launch System AIT definition and control of measurement plans in test requirements and execution, definition of technical specifications for the procurement of specific ground measurement acquisition and storage equipment Electrical interfaces schematics integration and analysis, electrical performances analyses e.g. power supply transient and steadystate analyses, measurement accuracy, others System EMC verifications groundingbonding quality measurement, CECS, RERS Realtime systems modelling, analysis, specification and troubleshooting Computers for realtime onboard applications, both as selfcontained units and as embedded items in subsystem equipment The work includes system design for faulttolerant computer systems, component design and development, operating systems, and identification of tools and methods for dependable specification, design and testing Data systems for onboard data communication, spacecraft system operation under ground control and with onboard autonomy, groundonboard data communication, and for manned spaceflight crew informatics and interfaces.
