On Monday, February 8th, Portland Bureau of Transportation Director Leah Treat will join traffic safety advocates to dedicate a Rapid Flashing Beacon at SE 156th and Division. Director Treat, along with Southwest Washington Families for Safe Streets and Oregon Walks, will meet at the newly activated beacon to acknowledge the lives lost at the crossing and discuss why improvements like the beacon and other Vision Zero actions are so important for the people of Portland.
