Inch-Size, Self-Locking Nuts maintain anti-loosening effect.

2013-02-05 14:29:50| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Available in UNC threads with sizes from ¼–1 in. in 1/16 in. increments, HARDLOCK Nuts have all-metal construction and can be used repeatedly while maintaining loosening prevention effect. Structure prevents loosening by combining centered concave top nut and off-centered (eccentric) convex lower nut to form wedge when tightened. This applies force perpendicular to bolt, and when top and bottom nuts are tightened, self-locking force of wedge prevents loosening. Planting trees in an area where there are no trees now, can reduce the effect of climate change by cooling temperate regions finds a study in BioMed Central's open access journal Carbon Balance and Management. Afforestation could lead to cooler and wetter summers by the end of this century if it was done now. Of course doing it now is a problem not only of resources of what it replaces...
