CDC reports new E. coli cases linked to Chipotle

Chipotle Mexican Grill founder and CEO Steve Ells discusses new food safety protocols Dec. 15 with employees after an E. coli outbreak sickened 50 people in the Northwest. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Monday it is investigating a more recent batch of E. coli cases linked to Chipotle, and that it does not know yet if they are linked to a larger outbreak that began in October.

CDC reports more recent outbreak of E. coli cases

" The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it is investigating more recent cases of E. coli cases linked to Chipotle, and that it does not know yet if they are linked to a larger outbreak that began at the end of October. So far, the agency says five people have been identified in the new outbreak, including one in Kansas, one in North Dakota and three in Oklahoma.

CDC: 'Kissing Bug' Reported in Florida

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning Floridians about the potentially deadly Chagas Disease from the kissing bug. The infected inch-long Triatomine bugs carrying the parasite can pass it through bites.

Never been a reported case of deadly 'kissing bug' disease in Georgia: CDC

The deadly "kissing bugs" that have been making headlines are actually nothing new . In fact, the first such bug reported in the United States was found in Georgia, in 1855, according to the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
