Working in collaboration with sponsors, Penn State technicians, and University Area Joint Authority, students addressed pump system efficiency issues using Internet-based sensor technologies and simulation modeling software.

Guardian: In an encouraging prelude to winter, California got a heavy dose of snow and rain that the drought-stricken state badly needed, and the wet weather may not be done yet. While ski resorts rejoiced at the deep snows they were seeing, on the coast rain and wind gusts prompted high surf warnings and repeated cautions from highway patrol to slow down when driving Friday. California needs all the snow and rain it can get, given years of drought that have dried up reservoirs and left trees parched....

Weather forced a recent ribbon cutting ceremony indoors where State, County and local officials gathered to celebrate the opening of the Morrison Road connector in Granite City, Ill. The Morrison Road Connector was built to connect Morrison Road to Breckenridge Road to address safety concerns of area residents as Morrison Road is one of only two ways some Pontoon Beach residents are able to access area subdivisions.
State K-12 funding hasn't caught up to 2008 levels
