Singapore Airlines has today taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-900 from the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse. It is the first of 67 A350 aircraft on firm order, including seven of an ultra-long-range variant for which Singapore Airlines will be the launch customer.

Dominique Giannoni, CEO of Thales InFlyt Experience, says the deal with Singapore Airlines is "critical proof point of Thales' strength in the market". Singapore Airlines has opted to equip its Airbus A350 XWB aircraft with Thales' Android-based AVANT in-flight entertainment and Ka-band connectivity solution.
