Tasks As support to the MME upgrade team, the Key person shall work on the ground segment requirements analysis, services definitions, architectural design, requirements implementation and verification of the MME parts of future Ground Segments. The duties range from analysis and design to testing of the MME ArchiveRetrieval and User services systems. The tasks will include Requirements analysis of programme requirements not related to the Ground Segments ITT requirements against the MMEs Generation of services definitions, compliance matrices, design justification, verification planstest cases and procedures and verification control documents Support to Analysis and evolution of current System Design to enhance the Data Access Services so as to meet programmes requirements Definition and maintenance of MME Data Access Services related Interface Control Documents ICDs Preparation of test specifications for Verifying MME Data Access services Support to Ground Segment reviews excluding access to financial data and schedule margins Support to Ground Segment Integration, Verification and Validation IVV tests for the MME Data Access services.

Requirements gathering To attend kickoffbriefing meetings to gatherdiscuss information on the scope of new projects, including information on key messages, target audiences and expected outcomes. This will include identifying subjectmatter experts the design team can liaise with where relevant. Concept Development To develop concept designslayouts for brochures, events, campaigns and other designbrandrelated material based on the briefproject requirements and in accordance with the EUMETSAT Brand Guidelines. This will include the development of concepts for new conference and campaign branding to include event logo, signage, promotional materials, presentation styles, etc., brochure layoutdesigns, displayexhibition graphics, signage and environmental design of EUMETSAT buildingsfacilities, posters, invitation cards and various communication material for printelectronic distribution. Presentation To present design concepts within the SCIR Division and to other EUMETSAT employees, including highlevel management and to capture their feedback for further development of the selected design. Design Development To develop a selected design for all required materials based on feedback, final written and visual content requirements, and in adherence to the EUMETSAT brand guidelines. This support will involve the coordination of various simultaneous projects and their delivery on time and in the required quality. Artwork Production To finalise the artwork for all developed design material to the required printelectronic quality, including the production of computergenerated graphics and diagrams for print, electronic and direct computer use. This will include the development andor amendment of graphic diagrams, layout design, typesetting, and delivery of final electronic files for printing and publication online. Brand Development To contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the EUMETSAT brand, as well as campaign, event and partnership branding, ensuring that the guidelines reflect the most recent branding practices Electronic Image Storage and Distribution To ensure all new images are uploaded to the EUMETSAT image management system celum IMAGINE on a regular basis and keyworded accordingly. To supply internal and external users with electronic files of assorted imagery, design elements, graphicsillustrations, and logo files if and when requested In addition, the Senior Graphic Designer may be required to provide special expertise and support whenever asked to do so by the Technical Officer. Mandatory skillsexperiences A recognised qualification in graphic design or visual communications A minimum of five years professional experience in a senior graphic designer role Fluency in verbal and written English Experience of the complete cycle of designing and developing conceptdriven brand campaigns across a wide range of media print, electronic, exhibition, display, etc, preferably with technicalscientific content Knowledge and practical experience of the graphic design artworkproduction process Interpersonal skills to handle a wide variety of internal and external customers Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint software on Apple OS and Windows. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The focus of this Sentinel3 Optical Sensor Calibration Expert Consultancy is to support the calibration of the Ocean and Land Colour Imager OLCI and Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer SLSTR instruments on the Sentinel3 mission, which EUMETSAT operates on behalf of the European Commission. Hence, the focus will be to provide an indepth understanding of the instruments calibration and characterisation inorbit. The calibration data and instrument performance will be analysed using existing tools and by developing inhouse tools for instrument calibration as well as vicarious and intercalibration to adjust and monitor the operational calibration systems. The Key person shall support the Calibration Team of INRC competence area, in close collaboration with the Ocean Colour and Surface Temperature Radiometry teams in the Marine Applications competence area, whose activities the consultant shall primarily support. The workplace will be EUMETSAT. The tasks of the Key person will typically include scientific analysis of the radiometric and spectral calibration of Ll data from OLCI and SLSTR, analysing results of prelaunch and inorbit calibration systems and characterisation data , including o solar diffusers, straylight, nonlinearity, SNR, polarisation sensitivity, o spacecraft manoeuvres performed during or after commissioning, developing indepth knowledge of the instruments operational processing chain, applying the calibration monitoring tools to OLCI and SLSTR, which will include a combination of o pseudoinvariant calibration sites, o Rayleigh scattering over the sea, o lunar calibration, o deep convective clouds, o intercalibration against collocated hyperspectral sounder observations, developing specific components of the calibration monitoring tools to handle Sentinel3 data, analysing results of these tools to provide information on these sensors performance, performing comparisons with other instruments, such as A VHRR, VIIRS, MODIS to gain understanding of the performance ofOLCI and SLSTR, using GEOCAL tool developed by ESA to monitor geometric performance, providing recommendations to implement changes to the operational procedures and processing chains to improve the instruments calibration, working with the team responsible for generating L2 products for these instruments to assess and improve the instruments calibration, writing and reviewing documentation describing the instruments calibration and aspects oftheir Ll processing. Qualifications A university degree or equivalent in Physics, Remote Sensing, Instrument engineering, or similar Required knowledge At least 5 years experience in the processing of satellite data to generate calibrated Ll datasets in the visible, near andor thermal infrared. At least 5 years experience in L 1 calibrationvalidation. Recognised expertise in the calibration of optical sensors both prelaunch and on orbit. The Consultant shall be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of statistical techniques and understanding of the concepts of calibration and traceability. The Consultant shall have a good knowledge of radiative transfer in the solar andor infrared spectral ranges and experience in applying them for surface andor atmospheric applications. Proven experience in the use of data analysis tools, such as MatlabIDL, scripting languages, such as PerlPython and highlevel programming, such as CCFORTRAN on a LinuxUnix environment, and an aptitude to learn further programming languages as required. Experience in the implementation of calibration algorithms. Job description The Key Person will support the Ground Stations and External Interfaces GSEI team within the RSO division and shall support the daily operations of the Ground Stations and their interfaces to the other components of the ground segments to ensure their maximum availability and reliability. The tasks will include Longterm planning and shortterm scheduling of the operational usage of the ground stations to support both the needs of the Flight Operations Division FLO and Ground Stations engineering team Interface with project teams for the implementation of system upgrades to support major operations projects and major activities described in the Operational System MidTerm Evolution Plan. This will include ground station changes required to support major space segment evolutions Interfacing with the ground stations maintenance teams and industry representatives to ensure optimised performance by the ground stations, including participating in the definition, specification and implementation of any changes Planning and coordination of upgrades, repairs and evolutions with the engineering teams and FLO division Organising the validation of these upgrades, repairs and evolutions with the Controller Teams Definition and maintenance of ground station operations procedures and operations guides Maintaining operational ground stations databases Investigation into anomalies, their documentation, classification and correctionmitigation, participation in associated Anomaly Review Boards Provision of training, through production and presentation of written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations Department. Requirements In addition to having a university degree in a relevant technical discipline or the equivalent ground stations experience, the Key Person shall have the following mandatory attributes at least five years experience in ground stations TTC operations in support of multiple Low Earth Orbit LEO andor Geostationary GEO spacecraft at least five years experience in a realtime 247 spacecraft operations environment, ideally in an earth observation environment excellent interpersonal and coordination skills fluency in English.
