Alberta veterans join the initiative to aid the trucking industry - Alberta is following in the footsteps of other provinces to recognize the validity of military driver's licenses for heavy trucks Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation announced yesterday that his government will now begin to recognize the DND 404 military driver's permit. This recognition will now allow for the awarding of the civilian equivalent commercial license to serving and recently retired vets who had a valid DND 404 within the qualifying timeframe.

This thought is exactly what prompted the idea of transforming an old railway track, stretching from Miller to Eighth Street and between 72nd Avenue and 67th Avenue, into a space the community can enjoy and use. Last year, when Florida East Coast Industries initially proposed the idea of the Ludlam Trail, it had only planned for about 25% of greenery with the other 75% of the space being more industrial.
