Three federal agencies - the Bonneville Power Administration, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - provide funding and technical assistance to states, tribes, local watershed groups, conservation agencies and other local entities to develop, build and manage habitat restoration projects in the Columbia River Basin. On average, the federal agencies spend more than $100 million annually on salmon and steelhead habitat protection and improvement.

The busy itinerary included face time with President Barack Obama, who praised the Netherlands as among America's "oldest and most precious allies" as he welcomed the royal couple to the White House on Monday, June 1. On Tuesday morning, they will fly to Grand Rapids for a gathering at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture park, and then take tours of Helen DeVos Children's Hospital and Van Andel Institute before heading to Chicago for the final leg of their tour.
Honda spent $9.5 billion with Ohio suppliers in 2014

Independent: The activist who spent 66 hours suspended from the anchor of an oil exploration vessel has said she took strength during her protest from looking at the wildlife surrounding her. Chiara DAngelo attached herself on Friday evening to the anchor of the Arctic Challenger as it moored north of Seattle. The ship is among those that Royal Dutch Shell intend to use as they drill for oil in the Arctic Ocean off northwestern Alaska later this summer. Ms DAngelo ended her protest at around 9.30m.
