International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) recently established a new Study Group 20 (ITU-T SG20) on Internet of Things and its applications including smart cities and communities. Central part of this study is the standardization of end-to-end architectures for IoT, and mechanisms for interoperability of IoT applications and datasets employed by various vertically oriented industry sectors.

CSA Group, an ANSI member, has announced appointment of David Weinstein as its new president and CEO. In this role, Mr. Weinstein will be responsible for the leadership and direction of the global company. IAPMO Group, also an ANSI member, has announced that Tina Donda has joined the organization as VP of Water Systems. In this role, Ms. Donda will promote IAPMO’s Water Systems product certification program and will assist companies with testing and certification processes.

Indoor Air Quality Association, a member of ANSI, has named Stephanie Sears its new executive director. In this role, Ms. Sears will be the main liaison to the association’s Board of Directors, coordinating projects with IAQA volunteers and staff. Advanced Medical Technology Association, also an ANSI member, has announced that Matthew E. Wetzel is its new vice president and assistant general counsel.
