Argay Green Street Project Update: March 11, 2016

Environmental Services is designing a stormwater management project in the Argay neighborhood in northeast Portland. When it rains, water flows over streets, drains into the stormwater system and flows to the Columbia Slough. This project will build 53 green street planters next to sidewalks throughout the neighborhood. The planters will filter the stormwater before it enters the slough, helping to protect water quality and control stormwater runoff during heavy rain events.

SE Hawthorne-Salmon Area Green Street and Sewer Project: March 11, 2016

Wednesday night, city maintenance crews repaired a water main leak at the intersection of SE 46th Avenue and Hawthorne Boulevard. Additional work is needed to fill a void under the street. Until the void is repaired, the area is sectioned off and closed to vehicle traffic. One lane of travel in each direction will be maintained on SE Hawthorne Boulevard.
