Idaho environmental authorities are asking every water utility in the state to double-check its system after problems surfaced with lead-tainted drinking water in Flint, Michigan. Civil rights groups are seeking a court order to stop New Mexico taxation officials from withholding refunds of excess tax payments from immigrants who file using alternative federal tax identification numbers. The request for an injunction was filed in anticipation of April tax deadlines, as a lawsuit over immigrant tax refunds makes its way through a state district court in Santa Fe.
