Big Blue fans who want to celebrate a win with a flaming sofa but who also want to stay on the Lexington Fire Department's good side have another option: the burning-couch cake. Employees of Whole Foods Market at The Mall at Lexington Green suggested last year that the store's bakery make a couch-shaped cake decorated with flames, store manager Tiffany Nolan said.

Demarius Thompson, 29, was arrested Thursday afternoon in connection with the March 10 killing of Joshua Richey , 38, at the Kroger supermarket on Ponce de Leon Avenue, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Richey, from Hayden, was the superintended of a construction company and he and a co-worker were working at the store.

Publix Super Markets Inc. is well aware of the appetite for a grocery store in downtown Tampa - and is "hopeful" it could one day have a location there. "We're very hopeful to end up anywhere our customers are asking us to be," spokesman Brian West said Tuesday.
