In a move that will likely be much more effective than the Kyoto Protocol, Japanese electronics maker Kyocera Corporation unveiled the world's largest floating solar power station, which boasts 9,000 solar panels that are fully waterproof and sit comfortably atop the water's surface.

Line commercially launches music streaming app in Japan

(Telecompaper) Mobile messaging service Line has launched its music streaming service in Japan. Line started testing its music streaming app for USD 2 per month in Thailand in May. For a monthly fee of JPY 500 (approximately USD 4) per month, Line Music users can access 20 hours of music streaming, TechCrunch reports. Subscribers can access a catalogue of over 1.5 million songs. Customers who opt for unlimited access to the Line Music service will be charged JPY 1,000 per month.
