In the most recent third-quarter filings from US apparel and footwear brands and retailers, Abercrombie & Fitch revealed a "disastrous" quarter as sales fell and earnings plummeted 80%. US women's wear retailer Chico's FAS is to cut around 200 jobs, or 13% of its workforce in a strategic move to create a "flatter" and more nimble organisation, as it revealed lower earnings and sales in its second quarter.
