The Wall Street Journal reported last night that hedge fund Lion Capital, which previously lent money to American Apparel, is pressing the company to consider strategic options, including selling the company. According to people close to the matter, Lion Capital urged the board, led by Brown, to create a special committee "to evaluate strategic alternatives" in a letter on Sunday.
