Mt. Scott-Arleta and Woodstock Sewer Repair Project Update

Environmental Services is designing a project to repair or replace up to 17,000 feet, or over three miles, of public sewers in the Mt. Scott, Arleta, and Woodstock neighborhoods. Many of the existing sewer pipes are 85 years old and deteriorating due to age. This project is one of many that will protect the public and the environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.

Southwest Ventilation Project Update: October 30, 2015

Environmental Services is working on a project to reduce sewer odors and increase the capacity of the Southwest Parallel Interceptor sewer system. The project is designed to accommodate current needs and potential growth. Since February, the contractor has installed about 1,000 feet of 24-inch concrete pipe and 6 manholes along SW Taylors Ferry Road, and 2 manholes on SW Virginia Avenue.
