AK Steel said that it expects to report a net loss of per diluted share for charges related to the previously announced temporary idling of the blast furnace and related steelmaking operations at its Works facility and an impairment charge on its investment in its discontinued insurance operations . The company said that it expects lower shipments in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter principally due to the ongoing effects in the carbon steel spot market from what the company believes are unfairly traded steel imports.

Mortlake's historic Stag Brewery site has finally closed after centuries of producing beer, with a "new riverside quarter" set to be developed. Production has now ended and the 21-acre site, near Chiswick Bridge, has been sold to Reselton Properties, a subsidiary of City Developments of Singapore.

According to market-research firm Stifel, Apple supplier Jabil Circuit has lowered its guidance for its current quarter, which ends in February 2016. According to the note, Jabil's revenue forecast implies a 23% sequential decline in its Diversified Manufacturing Services segment, the unit that's largely responsible for making the iPhone's casings.
