Tyler Water Department saves $4.9 million by reissuing bonds

The city of Tyler Water Department saved more than it expected when it reissued almost $24.5 million in debt and took on new debt for mandated projects. In July, the city approved reissuing $24.48 million in bonds, while taking out an additional $6 million in new bonds to complete state-mandated projects from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
