Nordstrom Inc. said Wednesday it plans to hold a charity gala to celebrate the opening of its first Wisconsin store in October. The Seattle-based retailer said the gala at new Mayfair store on Oct. 21 - two days before it officially opens for business - will benefit The Links Inc.'s Cream City and Milwaukee chapters, Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin and the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
