Google is getting into virtual reality. It was only a matter of time: With Google still looking for The Next Big Thing -- and Facebook's acquisition of Oculus VR, Sony's Project Morpheus, and many other companies and startups taking a fresh look at VR over the last couple of years -- it was forced to finally wade in. The target of Google's affection is a startup called Magic Leap, a secretive company that is developing some kind of 'cinematic reality' headset, which uses a 'digital light field' to project ultra-realistic images into your eyeballs.

Statoil divests 15.5% stake in Shah Deniz field for $2.25bn

Norwegian energy firm Statoil has sold its 15.5% stake in the Shah Deniz field in Azerbaijan to Malaysia's Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) for $2.25bn.

Decades later, Wright Amendment lifted at Dallas Love Field

The 1979 amendment, which restricted long-haul flights out of Dallas Love Field, was enacted to protect the new Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, built jointly by Fort Worth and Dallas. With Delta Air Lines announcing in 2004 that it was dropping from 200 flights a day to 20, DFW Airport still needed that protection, they argued.
