True, Jasmine win 900 MHz auction in Thailand
2015-12-21 08:43:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) True and Jasmine have won the 900 MHz auction in Thailand, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission announced. Jasmine International will pay THB 75.654 billion (EUR 1.926 billion) for the rights to the frequencies 895-905 MHz paired with 940-950 MHz, and True Move will pay THB 76.298 billion for 905-915 MHz paired with 950-960 MHz. The results of the five-day auction well exceeded the regulator's reserve prices for the spectrum. Mobile operators AIS and Dtac also participated in the auction, but did not win any licences. The 15-year licences require the operators to cover 50 percent of the population within four years and 80 percent within eight years.
