The first of two Sentinel3 spacecraft is planned to be launched in mid2015. The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administration Engineer who will be working at our customers site, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. As a member of the Computer and Storage Management team, you will provide support for Sentinel3 Ground Segment Commissioning and Routine Operations. The duties range from the support to the operation of the Linuxbased ground segment facilities, to the analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of distributed hardware and system software platforms. This includes the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures, the support to the procurement of hardware and software, and the coordination with external providers of maintenance services.
