United Technologies Corp. cut its 2015 profit forecast for the second time in just over a month, citing weak demand in the units making aerospace parts and Otis elevators. Excluding the Sikorsky helicopter business being sold to Lockheed Martin Corp., earnings this year will be $6.15 to $6.30 a share, down from $6.35 to $6.55, United Technologies said Tuesday in its second-quarter earnings report.

Cytec Industries Inc. of Woodland Park dropped the most in more than three years as the world's second-largest maker of carbon-fiber materials for airplanes was hit by lower demand and unfavorable exchange rates. The shares fell 5.4 percent to $57.15 at 11:46 a.m. in New York after earlier slumping 6.9 percent, the biggest intraday drop since May 17, 2012.
