Deutsche Telekom plans 5G rollout in six German cities by year-end

(Telecompaper) Deutsche Telekom said it has started to roll out 5G and expects to have 300 antennas across six German cities by the end of this year. The cities include Berlin, Bonn, Darmstadt, Hamburg, Leipzig and Munich. In the next 18 months, the 20 largest cities in Germany will all be connected with 5G.

NBN Co beats FY2019 rollout targets, nears 10 mln ready to connect premises

(Telecompaper) NBN Co, the company building and operating Australia's broadband access network, announced that it has exceeded its rollout and activation targets for FY19. In the three months to 27 June, NBN Co connected more than 1.1 million premises to its network, which brought the total number of ready to connect premises to 9.93 million at 27 June. NBN's FY19 forecast target was 9.7 million ready to connect premises.
