"The Impact of Oversize Loads on Our Nation’s Bridges," issued by NTSB, reminds motor carriers of importance of obtaining permits and carefully reviewing routes before transporting oversize loads. Along with May 2013 crash near Mount Vernon, WA, this Safety Alert cites March 2015 crash in Salado, TX. Both involved trucks carrying oversize loads that struck bridges and caused collapses.
