Natural gas pipeline shifts to N.H.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners' new preferred route for a natural-gas pipeline from New York State would cross through New Hampshire before turning south, going through Pelham and re-entering Massachusetts in Dracut, where the main line ends. A lateral route, from Dracut to Lynnfield, has also been proposed, and would pass through Tewksbury and Wilmington.

Louisiana Gas Station Accidentally Sells Gas for 29-Cents per Gallon

A gas station in Natchitoches, Louisiana, made the mistake of selling supreme gasoline for the low price of 29-cents a gallon on Wednesday. The Chevron station sold the incorrectly priced gas from 6 a.m. until it was recognized at 2 p.m., according to WTXF-TV in Philadelphia.

In trading on Thursday, oil & gas exploration & production shares were relative laggards, down on the day by about 3.5%. Helping drag down the group were shares of FX Energy , off about 17.7% and shares of Talisman Energy down about 10.6% on the day.

Natural gas pipeline into New England approved

Federal regulators have approved a $700 million pipeline that could bring cheaper Marcellus Shale natural gas from Pennsylvania into western Connecticut and the rest of New England. While the Constitution pipeline needs the approval of state regulators in Pennsylvania and New York state, as well as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers , officials behind the project say they hope to have it operational as early as next winter.
