(Telecompaper) The Telecompaper Global Consumer Media index ended week 14 up 3.2 percent, ahead of the S&P 500 index (+2.1%). Much of the performance was attributable to heavyweights Alphabet (+2.%) and Facebook (+5.4%). M&A and management changes brought about some large share price movements. Also, ahead of Walt Disney's investor day several companies announced new products and services, including Facebook, Snap and Comcast.

Snap presents interactive games platform, Ad Kit for developers

(Telecompaper) Snap has formally introduced Snap Games. Users can launch the new offering from their Chat bar and then start playing with their friends, with no installation involved. People can use the function to see who they are playing with, to send those players a chat, or to talk live with voice chat. The new service will being with six titles, namely Bitmoji Party, Tiny Royale from Zynga, Snake Squad from Game Closure, C.A.T.S. Drift Race from ZeptoLab, Zombie Rescue Squad from PikPok and Alphabear Hustle from Spry Fox.

(Telecompaper) Walt Disney scored high at the box office with its latest Marvel movie and it announced the closing date for the 21st Century Fox takeover. The Modern Times Group hosted two capital market days, one for its own games-related activities and one for the VOD-centered NENT Group, soon to be spun off. Alphabet and Facebook came under regulatory fire in more than one way. Spotfy clashed with Apple over the latter's App Store revenue share. All in all, things turned out well for the Telecompaper Stock Index Global Consumer Media, ending week 11 up 2.2 percent. It outstripped the Dow Jones Industrials index (+1.1%).
