By opening up this new spectrum, major U.S. wireless carriers hope to ease the load on the licensed frequencies they control and help their services keep up with demand.

Study finds Texas financial execs plan to grow despite worries about the U.S. economy

With the recent stock market volatility, it may be no surprise that more than half of Texas CFOs are worried about how the U.S. economy and global markets could affect their companies. In Grant Thornton LLP's CFO survey, which polled 99 financial officers in the Lone Star state, 36 percent predicted the U.S. economy will improve, and 53 percent think conditions will remain the same.
