Pull-back kits, available for 36-Series Snow Pushers, let operators rotate snow pusher forward as to engage 1.5 x 8 in. Ultra-rubber cutting edge with ground to pull snow away from overhead doors, buildings, and loading docks. This capability also minimizes hand shoveling. Featuring bolt-on installation, kits use existing holes on end plates to eliminate need for any additional drilling. Cutting edge is made of SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) with 65 durometer and 2,500 lb tensile strength.

Iditarod opening saved by shipment of snow

Alaska is so warm this year, the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race had to have snow brought in to Anchorage to make the ceremonial opening race happen. The Alaska Railroad is hauling 300 cubic yards of snow from Fairbanks to Anchorage on Thursday for the opening ceremony on Saturday.

Front end loaders pile snow into side-dump rail cars Wednesday morning, March 2, 2016 as the Alaska Railroad prepares to transport seven cars containing about 350 cubic yards of snow from Fairbanks to Anchorage to be used for Saturday's ceremonial start of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and the Fur Rondy's Running of the Reindeer.
