Showa Denko Carbon in Ridgeville plans to nearly double its capacity to make electrodes for the steel industry after completing a $300 million expansion over the past three years in Dorchester County. A major Lowcountry industry will celebrate its $300 million expansion Friday, nearly doubling its capacity to supply electrodes to the steel industry.
