Annual event, hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors, pits construction industry's top apprentices and trainees against each other to call attention to construction industry and 21st century job opportunities that are available. Event begins with in-depth, 2.5 hr written exam and continues with 6 hr hands-on performance test. Competitors begin training 9–12 months in advance to prepare.
