Jim Long Pork Commentary: Where we at? Some observations

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist or ag. economist to see that USA-Canada hog market sucks.

Last week Spencer, Aidan and I continued our trip trough Eastern Europe visiting both Poland and Ukraine.

This past week we spent in Russia. I visited several customers and prospects with two of my sons Spencer and Aidan.

Markets many times move with few if any people expecting. Last week was a case in point.

Last Friday the USDA came out with a yield prediction of 178.4 bushels per acre. If this is correct it will be a record yield.
