IDE Technologies recently announced that Reliance Industries Ltd., India’s largest private sector company, has ordered its first seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination solution from IDE. Reliance chose IDE’s SWRO solution to meet the increased water capacity needs of the plant at one of India’s largest oil refineries.

Airtel, Reliance Jio agree infrastructure sharing

(Telecompaper) Indian telecommunications providers Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio Infocomm have signed a comprehensive telecom infrastructure sharing arrangement. The deal includes fibre networks, submarine cable networks, towers, and internet broadband services. The arrangement could, in future, be extended to roaming on 2G, 3G and 4G. The pricing would be at "arm's length", based on prevailing market rates. As part of this arrangement, Bharti and Reliance Jio have already announced an agreement under which Bharti has provided capacity on its i2i submarine cable to Reliance Jio.
