Dr. Daniel Laird will join Energy Department's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) on October 12 as director of National Wind Technology Center (NWTC). Expressing excitement for joining NWTC's research team, Laird said he "looks forward to working with the wind energy and water power teams to deliver the next generation of clean, reliable, and cost-effective power generation technologies." NWTC encompasses 305 acres at base of the foothills south of Boulder, CO.
