The Assistant Accountant will contribute, under the supervision of the Accounting Officer, to defining and managing the accounting processes within the GSA in compliance with the applicable rules and procedures. She will be responsible for the following main tasks Assistance in the maintenance of the accounting and budget ledgers Participation in the yearend closing activities and the preparation of the annual financial accounts Bank and accounts reconciliation Validation and execution of payments Monitoring and followup of outstanding debts Contribution to the collection or preparation of the necessary information for audits Supervision of assets ledgers and participation in the inventory checks Other relevant tasks, as required.
