As part of the Tabor to the River Program, Environmental Services continues construction on the Clinton Green Street and Sewer Project. This project will replace 3,800 feet of sewer pipe installed over 100 years ago, construct 24 green street planters and add two blocks of pervious paving. These improvements will protect public health, property and the environment, and reduce the possibility of sewage releases into streets, homes and businesses.

Southwest Ventilation Project Update: March 6, 2015

Construction is underway on an Environmental Services project to reduce sewer odors and increase the capacity of the Southwest Parallel Interceptor sewer system to accommodate future growth. The contractor will install about 1,000 feet of 24-inch concrete pipe along SW Taylors Ferry Road, 800 feet of 48-inch concrete pipe along SW Virginia Avenue, and a permanent odor control facility east of SW Taylors Ferry Road.

Eastmoreland-Woodstock Sewer Repair Project Construction Update: March 3, 2015

Construction is winding down on this project to repair or replace about 40,000 feet of severely deteriorated sewer pipes that are more than 60 years old. The work will make the sewer system work more effectively and protect water quality, public health and the environment.
