'Fine Wine for Canines' raises funds to support St. Tammany Humane Society

Guests can toast the work of the St. Tammany Humane Society at the fifth annual "Fine Wines for Canines" on Jan. 16 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Annadele's Plantation, located at 71518 Chestnut St. in Covington. A cash bar will open at 6 p.m. "With the support from Fine Wines for Canines, the St. Tammany Humane Society is able to provide shelter and medical care for homeless dogs and cats in our area until they find a forever home," said Michele M. Nazar, volunteer and special events coordinator.

EU funds worth 255m wasted on unnecessary airport expansion projects
