Exxon Mobil Corp. has restarted drilling operations at Point Tomson on the North Slope of Alaska with expectations that natural gas condensate production will start in 2016. The Exxon project is expected to produce up to 10,000 barrels per day of natural gas condensate and 200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Natural gas slowdown costs at least $1.5B in capital spending in 2015

Most publicly traded drillers in the Marcellus Shale have cut back on their spending plans for 2015, although Southwestern Energy is upping its capital spending. Five natural-gas producers with significant operations in southwestern Pennsylvania have reduced their capital budgets collectively by 23 percent - or $1.5 billion - according to numbers reported in operational guidance.
