Active Power cuts Q4 losses

Shares of Active Power Inc. surged more than 10 percent Tuesday morning as the Austin company posted lower losses for the fourth quarter. Active Power reported a quarterly net loss of $2 million, or 9 cents per share, on revenue of $15.3 million compared with a loss of $4.1 million, or 21 cents per share, on revenue of $13.9 million during the same period last year.
