Nova Scotia's 911 emergency service has been affected in some areas of the province following a fire at a Bell Aliant building in Halifax, according to the Halifax Regional Municipality. Halifax Fire said it was called to a small electrical fire at the Bell Aliant building on North Street in Halifax earlier in the afternoon.

2,000 customers still affected by Spokane power outages

Utility officials say just over 2,000 customers remained without power on Thanksgiving following a devastating windstorm more than a week earlier.
