A Brooklyn woman was arrested Tuesday for stealing assorted Michael Kors merchandise from TJ Maxx stores in Greenvale and Hicksville in August, police said. According to authorities, Raquel Davila, 54, and three other women stole designer merchandise worth $14,237.57 from the following stores: She was charged with third degree grand larceny, fourth degree grand larceny and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The Harrisonburg Police Department is working to determine the identity of a man whose body was found this morning on railroad tracks that run alongside Martin Luther King Jr. Way near Reservoir Street. Lt. Kurt Boshart of the HPD said the body was being taken to the state medical examiner's district office in Roanoke for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and until that is determined the case is being investigated as a homicide.
