A former professional hockey player who hit rock bottom in Penticton should skate away from jail early in the new year after settling a handful of court matters. Quinten Levi Van Horlick, 39, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft under $5,000 and a single count of breach of a court order and was sentenced Tuesday to 120 days in jail.

THE Fiji Hockey Federation is overwhelmed with the support from the corporate bodies towards the Oceania Pacific Cup Championship to be held in Suva this weekend. The weeklong tournament which starts tomorrow at the National Hockey Centre will feature Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Australian Country and New Zealand Presidents.
