Environmental Service has completed designing a project that will replace sewer pipes in poor condition and relieve street flooding and basement sewer backups in the area bounded by NW Yeon Avenue, NW 29th Avenue, NW Nicolai Avenue, and NW St. Helens Road. The project includes diverting stormwater to the Balch Conduit sewer pipe, and replacing dams in the Balch Outfall pipe to prevent Willamette River water from backing up into the pipe during heavy rain events.0

National Electrical Manufacturers Association published NEMA Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Fittings for Use with Rigid PVC Conduit and Tubing, which includes requirements for materials, workmanship, dimensions, physical properties, couplings, female adaptors, male terminals, junction box adapters, reducers, elbows, caps, and end-bells. This standard also provides methods for marking and inspection as well as practices for indicating compliance with these standards.
