You will be part of a team working at the Harwell Robotics and Autonomy Facility HRAF, a concept which has been initiated at ESA, Harwell to answer the need of development, verification and validation of complex autonomous systems such as planetary rovers and other landed elements which are critical to enable future planetary exploration missions. In order to become operational for future exploration missions, HRAF will go through an implementation phase which is likely to start after a second pilot phase is completed in 2018 such that it is synced with possible Mars Sample Return rover applications i.e the Sample Fetch Rover or equivalent lunar exploration scenarios.
