Telecommunications Satellite Payload Engineer

Overview The work will be performed onsite at ECSAT within the TIAPY Division in Harwell, UK. The contractor will work on Quantum Project, reporting to the Quantum Payload Manager in the Telecommunications and Integrated Applications Directorate, Telecommunication Satellite Programmes Department and will be responsible for monitoring various performances and engineering aspects of satellite payloads. The postholders tasks will include Monitoring payload units development, integration and testing Monitoring the coherent and costeffective implementation of payload requirements from system level down to the lower application level Working in Partnership with Satellite Operators to ensure that the payload equipment development proceeds in a timely and pragmatic manner whilst maintaining the original innovative nature of the payload Working with the industrial team to ensure that the design and performance of payload meets its specified requirements, including software, subsystem and unit performances Analysing predicted performance parameters of payload and monitoring these throughout the project phases Ensuring the adequacy of relevant operational requirements to control and operate the payload Supporting payload and lowerlevel reviews, as well as supporting spacecraft level reviews and any nonconformance reviews Regular reporting to his programme Payload Manager. In the execution of the tasks, the Payload Engineer will liaise closely and proactively with the rest of the Quantum Project team as well as with other Project Teams within the Telecommunications Satellite Programmes Department. Specific qualification requirements Masters in Engineering or equivalent qualification in engineering or physics. Substantial experience in designing and developing of one or more onboard RF equipment including LNAs, frequency converters, channel amplifiers, digital processor, multiplexers, filters, EPCs and satellite antennas. Systems and strategic thinking, results orientation, responsible risktaking decisionmaking, and relationship management are considered important. Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively. The successful candidate should demonstrate proven technical capabilities, in particular in the mechanicalstructural engineering field, and the capacity to apply analytical and sound judgment to resolve problems pragmatically. The Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent organisation skills, attention to detail, resourcefulness and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work and communicate effectively in English. Knowledge of another ESA member state language is an asset. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in the United Kingdom. Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications ECSAT at Harwell, UK. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the United Kingdom. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Shenandoah Telecommunications Company - Investment analysts at BWS Financial issued their FY2015 earnings per share estimates for Shenandoah Telecommunications Company in a research note issued on Thursday, Zacks Investment Research reports. BWS Financial analyst H. Khorsand forecasts that the brokerage will post earnings per share of $0.80 for the year.
