Its mission is to shape the development of Europes space capability and ensure that investment in space continues to deliver benefits to the citizens of Europe and the world. Under the direct authority of the Director General, the Director of Telecommunications and Integrated Applications is responsible for contributing to ESAwide management, supporting the ESA Director General in discharging his responsibility and tasks and participating in the pursuit of ESAs overall objectives. The Director contributes in the area of Space Applications to forming the Team of Teams at senior management level. In the framework of the ESA matrix organisation comprising programme directorates and support directorates, the Director of Telecommunications and Integrated Applications, under delegation from the Director General, is responsible for the definition, promotion and execution of all telecommunicationsatellitebased systems for the Agency, proposals for new projects and initiatives in the field of Telecommunications and Integrated Applications, management of the related programmes as well as supporting international efforts in the fields of interoperability and standardisation. July 20, 2015-- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced today that it is implementing certain organizational changes in connection with an ongoing assessment of its operations by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Stanton D. Sloane. To improve company-wide operating efficiencies and offer more innovative and integrated solutions to our customers, Comtech will fully integrate the activities and business of its Germantown, Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, with its Tempe, Arizona-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp. In addition, John Branscum, President of Comtech Xicom Technology, Inc., will succeed Robert McCollum, President of Comtech EF Data Corp., who will be retiring on July 31, 2015.
