Fairchild Semiconductor 's two new Motion-SPM devices for under 200W inverter motors are specifically tailored to reduce board space and simplify designs. Each FCBS0550 and FCBS0650 Motion-SPM integrates six MOSFETs, three high-voltage ICs and one low-voltage IC into a single, compact thermally efficient module.

FBR deems new Chinese offer for Fairchild much-improved, thinks ON could counter

The revised $21.70/share bid for Fairchild Semi from a Chinese group includes an offer to pay the $70M termination fee Fairchild owes ON Semi if it abandons its $20/share deal to be acquired by ON. The Chinese group is also willing to give Fairchild a $108M reverse termination fee if U.S. regulators block the deal, and $215M under the same terms as the ON termination agreement.

Fairchild gets revised offer from China Resources Microelectronics

Dec 29 Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc said on Tuesday it received a revised offer from the Party G Group, with new terms on termination fees in the event that the deal fails to win regulatory approvals. Party G Group has been identified by a source familiar with the matter as China Resources Microelectronics, a unit of China Resources Holdings.

Fairchild receives competing offer worth about $2.46 billion

Fairchild Semiconductor International Inc. says it has a received an unsolicited offer to buy its business, topping its existing deal with ON Semiconductor. The new offer of $21.70 a share is valued at roughly $2.46 billion based on Fairchild's 113.4 million shares outstanding.
