NFPA has made available 2 new ISO standards: ISO 1179-1:2013 and ISO 1179-2:2013. ISO 1179-1:2013 specifies dimensions for ports with ISO 228-1 threads for use with non-adjustable stud ends in ISO 1179-2/-3/-4 and adjustable stud ends in ISO 1179-3. ISO 1179-2:2013 specifies dimensions, performance requirements, and test procedures for heavy-duty (S series) and light-duty (L series) stud ends with ISO 228-1 threads and elastomeric sealing (type E) used with them.
