DoubleTake App Turns Your iPhone Into a Multi-Cam Studio

A new iPhone app allows you to capture two high-quality video streams simultaneously from any of the mobile device's cameras. Called "DoubleTake," the free software is produced by FiLMiC, which also makes a pro style video capture and editing app for the iPhone. With DoubleTake, you can shoot two 1080p video streams at the same time, in either landscape or portrait mode.

Adobe Max Event Highlights New iPad, iPhone Tools

New products for the iPad and iPhone headlined the opening keynote presentation at Adobe Max, the company's annual developers conference held in Los Angeles. Photoshop for the iPad uses Adobe's artificial intelligence engine, Sensei, to enable new selection functionality. For example, "Select Subject," a feature of Photoshop for the desktop, will be available on the tablet version.

Apple tops Q4 expectations with 2% revenue growth, as services offset lower iPhone sales

(Telecompaper) Apple reported a small increase of 2 percent in revenues for its fiscal fourth quarter to September to USD 64.0 billion. Sales were at the high end of the company's guidance, with growth in services, the iPad and wearables offsetting a drop in iPhone revenues. Apple forecast a similar growth rate in total revenues for the December quarter.

Apple asks manufacturers to up production for iPhone 11 amid higher-than-expected demand - report

(Telecompaper) Demand for Apple's iPhone 11 smartphone series has been higher than expected, so much that the manufacturer have asked suppliers to up production by 10 percent, or by up to 8 million, the Nikkei Asian Review reported. "This autumn is so far much busier than we expected," one source with knowledge of the situation said, adding that Apple had been conservative about its orders, which were less than for last year's new iPhone.
